Students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department experienced preparing traditional desserts from four different countries at the "World Tour with Desserts" event. Coordinated by Dr. Lecturer Kadir ÇETİN and Lecturer Önder OFLAS, the event held on December 5, 2024, offered students the opportunity to closely learn about international culinary cultures.

Within the scope of the event, students practically prepared famous desserts from Russian cuisine, Pavlova and Medovik, Pasticciotti from Italian cuisine, the beloved dessert of English cuisine, Banoffee Pie, and Poland's traditional dessert, Karpatka.

During the preparation of the desserts, students not only improved their practical skills but also gained detailed information about the cultural background of each dessert, traditional preparation techniques, and important points in ingredient selection. The program allowed for the reinforcement of theoretical knowledge with practical applications, contributing to the enhancement of students' competencies in international culinary culture.

This educational and interactive event allowed students to expand their global gastronomy perspectives while experiencing the culinary traditions of different cultures.
